As you know, Dr. Young was the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs at UCSB for 25 years (1990-2015). His “exceptional leadership and devoted service” to our campus and the larger community is presented in some detail by Chancellor Yang in the announcement of Dr. Young’s retirement:
